Utilization of vacuum plasma in implant surgery
Titanium dental implants are considered one of the most preferred and predictable treatment options for patients with missing teeth and occlusal rehabilitation
Vacuum plasma was generated, allowing the implant to remain sterile. Numerical and experimental investigations were conducted to determine the optimal discharge conditions for eliminating hydrocarbon impurities, which are known to degrade the bioactivity of the implant.
According to the findings, the proposed vacuum plasma device has shown the potential to improve osseointegration efficiency. We believe that this plasma technology can be an innovative chairside solution that can be easily handled in the clinical field with superb usability.
