3D digital implant for guide surgery & restoration
In the general industry, digital technology has long been used to automate design, processing, and inspection, thereby improving productivity and precision. Currently, solutions utilizing AI are being directly implemented. In the field of dentistry, digital technology has been introduced for diagnostics, treatment planning, and the fabrication of prosthetics using CAD-CAM for quite some time.
Dental treatments leveraging digital technology have seen remarkable advancements daily. Today, the precision of hardware such as digital scanners, CBCT, CNC machines, and 3D printers has greatly enhanced the quality of care, surpassing previous expectations. Alongside this, the application range of software has expanded to cover almost every conceivable area.
One of the most significant changes in dentistry since the introduction of digital technology is the modeless approach. We have reached a stage where the development and application of AI technology are progressing actively.
In this lecture, I hope to provide an opportunity to understand and practice using digital technology for precise implant procedures with CAD software. I aim for this to be a session where we can gauge how much precision can be improved through digital technology.
